CARIBBEAN FITNESS MISSIONS:
Caribbean Fitness was founded by Monique (Monin) Pena Johnson, with God as her guide, to promote a "fit
for life approach to physical fitness" with several missions:
1) To educate and help women achieve their optimal physical fitness.
2) To target especially Hispanic women and educate them about the importance of exercising and the need to
consume a well balanced diet for the prevention of heart diseases, diabetes, cancer, osteoporosis, and other
diseases. This education will be accomplished by volunteering services to different non-profit and
governmental organizations that offer health & fitness programs that target these women, and by offering
affordable personal & group training.
3) To teach a motivational and fun Merengue-Salsa aerobics class during which the participants will burn
calories and get toned-up as they learn the basic steps for these rhythms. With this class, Monique (Monin),
originally from the Dominican Republic is mixing two of her greatest passions: exercising and dancing.
4) In the near future, to merge with Pena Accounting & Tax services to provide a unique service that combines
the importance of staying fit & healthy with sound financial planning. By combining these two services,
Monique (Monin) Pena Johnson will be able to teach her clients how to reach a better future and peace of
mind through better health and sounder financial planning. This new entity will help its clients create a much
brighter future by taking care of their physical as well as their financial health today.
THANKS TO THESE SPECIAL PEOPLE
I would have never made it this far without, first and most important God's guidance, and without the love &
support of the following people:
***My children - Miguel & Sonalie who have always been my inspiration.
***My mom - who always reminded me that I was capable to reach any goal.
***My sister Dolly, brother Ray, and niece Melissa - who are always available to listen and
reassure me.
***My nephew Alfredo - that without his wisdom, computer knowledge, and willingness to help me, I would not
be writing this website today.
*** To all my clients, especially Pleasant Hill teachers: Debbie Johnson, Carolyn Beardsley, and Dolores
Cantu. These three ladies were the first ones to believe in me and Caribbean Fitness mission....I'll never be
able to thank them enough.

At Monique's home during Caribbean Fitness Client's Appreciation Afternoon - Wonderful time
during which we enjoyed each other company, ate healthy but "con mucho sabor" food, were "pampered"
by two terrific Comadres: Linda from Spa-Escape treated us like queens and Cecilia from The Therapy
studio finished the relaxation job with a demonstration of her massage. My deepest thanks to both of
them and to my clients and friends who made the time to come.
JUNE 29 - During the 2005 HIRE National Conference & Training Seminar - These IRS ladies
didn't let their dresses and
business suits stop them from following Monique during her performance of Caribbean Fitness
Merengue-Salsa Aerobics.
SEPTEMBER 18, 2005 - DURING EL FESTIVAL HISPANO DE LA SALUD (FIESTAS
